PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - Aubrey M. Johnson, Jr., 86, formerly of Gloucester, died August 25, 2013. He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Menken) Johnson, who died in June of 1983.
Born in Gloucester on March 17, 1927, he was the son of the late Aubrey M., Sr. and Cora (Moore) Johnson.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in March of 1949.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra M. Johnson, and a sister, Carol, wife of the late Christopher Cecilio. He was also predeceased by a son, Glenn A. Johnson.
His funeral service will be held on Friday morning in the Cherry Hill Cemetery at noon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
