Erica Jean Smith, 31, of Fall River, MA, formerly of Clearwater and Tallahassee, FL, passed away peacefully May 27, 2014. She leaves behind her mother: Lisa (Medeiros) Hug of Springhill, LA, a brother: Brandon Lee Smith of White Deer, PA, a half-brother: Richard N. Smith of Fall River, her devoted grandparents: Steve and Eileen Sousa of Westport, MA, her aunt: Sheila Moraites and her husband, Peter, of Fall River, her uncle: Todd Medeiros and companion Sandra Szurelys, of Fall River, her uncle: Stephen Sousa of Port Richey, FL, and 2 nieces: Kyra and Sophia Gallagher, of Weymouth, MA. She also leaves behind her stepfather, Scott Hug of Tallahassee, FL, two brothers: Jason Hug of Celina, OH and Michael Hug of Tallahassee, FL, a sister: Angela Hug of Portland, IN and grandparents: Richard and Carolyn Hug of Portland, IN. She was the daughter of the late Richard E. Smith. We will miss you dearly.
Erica was of free spirit. She enjoyed playing Bingo with family and friends, eating out, shopping, techno music, swimming and any family/church get-togethers. She was a member of Christ Temple Church, 1198 Fish Rd. Tiverton, RI where there will be a celebration of her life this Sunday, June 1st at 10:00 a.m. The public is invited.
