ANDOVER: Robert W. Neil, Jr. 65, died on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at home after a long battle with cancer.
Born on February 28, 1949 in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Elizabeth (Keleshian) Neil. He was lifelong resident of Andover and a graduate of Andover High School. He received his Bachelor' Degree in Business from Nathaniel Hawthorne College in New Hampshire.
He worked for many years as a truck driver for Garelick Farms. He was a talented musician who had a passion for playing the bass guitar. He was also an avid fan of the New England sports teams.
He is survived by his sister, Marjorie and her husband, Lee Britton of Andover; three nieces, Victoria and her husband, Lt. Frank deBros of Olympia, WA, Cassandra Britton of Andover and Stephanie Britton of Kingston, NH; two great-nephews, Thomas and Edward deBros also of Olympia, WA.
A Funeral Service for Robert will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11 AM in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 N. Main Street, Andover. A period of visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 - 11 AM. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Robert's memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
