Obituary

MARLBOROUGH: Ann Elizabeth (Keeler) Adams, age 75, of Marlborough, formerly of Natick and Newton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014 after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of William H. Adams, the man of her dreams, for 52 years.

Ann was born in Boston, daughter of the late Charles and Bridget Cullinane Keeler. She was an amazing woman whose mission it was to be a mother and a nurturer. Ann carried this love of care giving into her early career as a home health aide. Later employed with SunLife of Canada until her retirement, those who knew her will remember Ann’s exuberance for life. One of her greatest pleasures was the tradition of hosting her Christmas Eve parties.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, William C. Peterson and his wife Luanne of Ashland, Kathleen M. Peterson-O’Brien of Ft. Myers, FL, Richard C. Adams and his wife Rita of Natick, and Paula M. Guitard and her husband Paul of Northborough. Her family is comforted knowing her infant son, Anthony, was there to greet his mother in heaven.

The devoted sister of Gertrude Keeler of Quincy, Ann was also blessed with nine grandchildren, Shannon Kizik, Brendan O’Brien, Carleigh Peterson, Jake Peterson, Erin O’Brien, Hunter Adams, Cody Adams, Connor Guitard and Ryan Guitard. In life, Ann taught not only the power of giving to children in need, but also the power of love in being blessed with life-long friends. Among these dear friends are Helen O’Malley of Natick, Diane Doucette Aaron of Braintree, Connie Smith of Quincy, and Patricia Borgstrom of Bradenton, FL. Ann was also predeceased by brothers Charles and Robert Keeler.

Her funeral will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Wednesday, May 28th at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
