Michael B. Carty passed away suddenly at his home on May 20, 2014. He was 67 years old.
Michael was born and raised in Taunton and was a resident of Peabody for the past 6 months. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran during the Vietnam Era and a retired Police Officer for 20 years for the town of Seekonk.
Michael was the loving father of Jennifer L. (Carty) and her husband Atty. Anthony Pesce of Middleton. He was the cherished grandfather of Rocco and Stella Pesce.
Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street Malden on Saturday May 24th from 8:30a.m.-10:00a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Church 38 Oakes Street Everett at 10:30a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.
