Margaret "Peg" (Knight) Daniele (formerly of Weymouth), passed away peacefully at home on Monday May 19. Peg was 88 years old and had lost her loving husband Ed in April 2013.
Peg leaves behind her son Paul Daniele and his wife Carolyn of Edgartown, MA and Sarasota, FL; her daughter Janet Lewis of Quincy, MA; her sister Jeanette Lawler of Weymouth, MA; two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Peg also leaves behind her special "family" of caregivers; Jill, Lisa, Patty, Kristy, Nadia, Tina and Patricia. Peg's family wishes to thank and recognize these kind, caring and compassionate women not only for their caregiving but also for their friendship and support throughout the past year.
Peg and Ed were married on July 25, 1947. They lived in South Weymouth where Peg spent the early years of their life together raising her family. She would go on to work at the Tuft's Library, Suburban Propane and Alvin Hollis. They later moved to Pembroke and eventually to Oak Point in Middleboro. Peg enjoyed vacationing in Aruba and Florida with her family. Peg had a real sweet tooth in her later years with Turtles being her favorite candy. She loved her garden, loved to watch the hummingbirds and enjoyed creating and painting Christmas crafts with Ed. After Ed passed last year Peg moved into assisted living at the River Bay Club in Quincy in order to be closer to her daughter. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Visiting will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday, May 23 from 10:30 AM to 11 AM immediately followed by the Funeral Service at the Funeral Home at 11 AM.
