HAVERHILL: Mary D. (Drelich) Wezowicz, 95, died on Thursday, May 15, 2014 in The Oxford Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Frank S. Wezowicz.
Born in Haverhill on December 21, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Annie (Szeliga) Drelich. She was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and a graduate of Haverhill High School.
Mary worked as an assembler for the former Western Electric until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of All Saints Parish and a longtime member of the Ladies of St. Anne
She is survived by her son, John F. Wezowicz and a sister, Sophie D. Kosciewicz both of Haverhill and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister, Cecelia Sakowich and her brothers, John and Richard A. Drelich.
A funeral service for Mary will be held on Tuesday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Monday in the funeral home from 5 - 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 395 North Broadway, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in Mary’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
