Rosa Fonseca Gomes (80) of Brockton died May 12th in the Brockton Hospital. She was the widow of the late Joaquin Gomes.
Rosa was born in St. Phillipe, Fogo, Cape Verde daughter of the late Temotio and Maria Rocha Fonseca. Mrs. Gomes came to this country in 1989 from Fogo where she taught school for many years. Communicant of St. Edith Stein Church. She also loved to listen to traditional Cape Verdean music.
Survivors include 4 sons, Claudino, Aristides, Fernando and Guido Lobo all of Brockton. 10 Grandchildren.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court St. Brockton Saturday May 17th at 8 am followed by a Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Friday May 16th from 5-9 pm.
