Obituary

HOLLIS, NH: Virginia S. (Sullivan) Bell, 90, died Friday, May 9, 2014 in the St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham while being lovingly comforted by her family. She was the wife of the late Dr. Edwin I. Bell, (D.O.) who died in 1995.
Born in Portland, Maine on January 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Thelma G. (Morton) Sullivan. Virginia was a graduate of Scarborough, Maine High School. She resided in Wakefield, MA where she and her husband had their first home and then relocated to Magnolia, MA where they raised their family. She had also lived in Bradford, MA from 1990 until 2003 and most recently lived in Hollis, NH.
Virginia had a flair for interior decorating and also enjoyed embroidery, arts & crafts, gardening and was a talented seamstress who made clothing and drapes. She will be remembered for being a consummate homemaker, loving and attentive mother. Virginia had a sense of humor and was known for her quick wit and her polite and lovely disposition.
She is survived by her three daughters, Victoria B. Jones and her husband, Craig of Hollis, NH, Veronica M. Clements and her husband, Joseph of Hopkinton, MA and Vanessa T. Linkletter of Ipswich, MA; three sons, Thomas R. Bell of Hollis, NH, Timothy C. Bell of Berwick, ME and Terrence H. Bell and his wife, Megan of Carroll, OH; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Feeney of Falmouth, ME; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Edwin I. Bell, IV; a sister, Geraldine McIntyre and her brothers, Paul, Francis, Richard and Edward Bell.
A Funeral Service for Virginia will be held on Monday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 52 Salem Street, Bradford, MA at 11:30 A.M. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:30 – 11:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery in Bradford on Tuesday at 12 Noon.
