Lorande "Lindy" Surawski 87 of Haverhill and formerly of Lawrence passed away peacefully on May 2, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 8, 1926 to the late Thomas and Clara Panneton. Lindy was a woman of deep faith who loved her family, they were first and foremost in her life. She was a very loving and thoughtful person, always putting the needs of others before herself. The family would like to send their deepest gratitude to Noreen and Segunda at the Wingate of Haverhill for their compassionate care show to Lorande during her stay.
Lorande was the loving mother of Ann Fraize and her husband George of Kingston, NH, Mary Spolarich and her husband Ronald of Methuen and Janet Codair and her husband James of Eliot, ME. She was the dear sister of Mary Winkle of Ashby, Theresa Daly of Westford, Raymond Panneton of New York, NY, Roland Panneton of Hudson and Marcel Panneton of New York, NY. Lindy was the devoted grandmother of Lisa Fraize, Steven Fraize, Cynthia Trussell, Jennifer Cianciolo, Rebecca Spolarich and Sara Codair. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Sophia and Charlie. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Surawski and her brothers Lionel Panneton, Antonio Panneton and Robert Panneton.
Friends and relatives may call on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA 01844. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica's Church of Methuen. Burial will take place following the mass at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Boston Catholic TV, PO Box 9196 Watertown, MA 02471.
