Carol (D'Orlando) King of Medford died Wednesday, April 23 in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Caroline (Massa) D'Orlando.


Carol was the beloved wife of Robert F. King Sr. and devoted mother of Brenda Cole and her late husband Thomas, Robert F. King Jr. and his long-time companion Donna L. Powell, all of Somerville, Walter King and his fiancée Linda Papaluca of Medford, Caroline Stecchi and her long-time companion Wayne Pelkey of Nashua, NH. She was the sister of John D'Orlando and his wife Joyce of Melrose and is also survived by 8 loving grandchildren, 6 loving great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 4 - 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Carol's name to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701 or a charity of One's choice.
