Obituary

Imogene Hill Hall, 71, of Tifton died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate with burial to follow at Union Grove Church of God Cemetery in Eldorado. Henry Boyett, Terrell Roberson, Frankie Burlan, Mickey Bryant, Ronald Metts, Gene Montgomery, Pat Atwater and Van Dow will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Sanctuary Sunday school class at Tift Avenue Church of God, Bobbie Terrell, Janice Roberson, Pat Statum, Tina McCleod and Henry and Dollie Crumley. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mrs. Hall was born on December 3, 1942 in Lenox and was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Hill and Emma Edith Pitts Hill. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Eulan Hill, Henry Edward Hill and Thomas Ervin Hill. She attended Eldorado Elementary School from 1st-7th grade; Tifton Junior High School from 8th-9th grade; and Tifton High School from 10th-12th grade. She worked at the Diana Shop for four years; was head teller and utility clerk at the Bank of Tifton for 25 years; worked at Wendell Roberson Farms for three years and at City Florist for two-and-a-half years. She was a Pink Lady at Tift Regional Medical Center for five years, loved reading her Bible, Nascar racing, fishing, cooking, mowing the grass and keeping her yard pretty. She was a member of Tift Avenue Church of God, where she was a Sunday school teacher for several years.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lambert Hall, Jr. of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Elton and Judy Hill of Nashville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Virginia Proctor of Eldorado, and Ellen and Jim Thompson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; nieces and nephew and their spouses, Dianne Proctor of Eldorado, Molly Hill of Nashville, Mandy and Jeff Folkerts of Katy, Texas, and Dennis and Cindy Proctor of Enigma; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Erin Proctor and Cory Proctor, both of Enigma, and Mason Folkerts of Katy, Texas.
