Ann Alston Brown
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, April 22, 2014, Mrs. Ann Alston Brown, 76, loving wife of the late LTC Travis D. Brown, Ret. U.S. Marines.
Mrs. Brown was born in Augusta, GA to Marion and Margaret Alston. She graduated from Academy of Richmond County in 1955 and from Draughon’s Business School. She worked for Dr. Walter Shepeard at Talmadge Hospital, Boardman and Garrett Realty and retired from C & S Bank. Mrs. Brown was a member of Zeta Rho Sigma Sorority and of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church.
Family members include children: Kathy S. Anderson (John), Preston E. Sizemore (Libby); stepchildren: T.D. Brown, Terry Brown, Tracie B. Newman (Chip); grandchildren: Mimi Sizemore, John W. Anderson, Jr., Julie C. Anderson, Shannon Robinson (Todd), Tiffany Brown, Maggie Jones; brother: Bob Alston (Lib); and sister: Mickie McBrayer (Phil).
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Hatfield and Rev. Kris Key officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
