Obituary

TAUNTON – Charles F. Pitty, father of Alison D. Pitty and loving companion of Terry Albertini, both of East Taunton, died unexpectedly at his home on April 18, 2014.
He was 61.
Born in Boston, the son of the late Charles J. and Dorothy (Rourke) Pitty, Charlie was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School.
A master mechanic and motorcycle enthusiast, he was employed by Bradford Trailer Sales of Brockton, where he worked as the service manager for over forty years.
Charlie loved the ocean, and in his spare time enjoyed spending time on his boat, “Good Time Charlie”, and scuba diving.
His most enjoyable moments were spent with his grandson, Kyren, playing basketball.
In addition to his daughter and companion, he leaves a stepson, Erik Albertini of East Taunton; a stepdaughter, Kara Albertini of East Taunton; a sister, Lillian Pitty Hemphill; his grandson, Kyren Myers; and three nephews, Paul Bonceto, Ryan Hemphill and Joel DeAndrade.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, April 24th at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 10:00 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be private at a later date.
