Helen T. (Alaburda) Juges, formerly a resident of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away on April 18, 2014 at Wingate in Andover.
Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sophie Alaburda, Helen was educated in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Prior to retirement, Helen had worked at Smith's Corset Shop for many years.
The widow of Joseph M. Juges, family members include: a niece, Claire Hamel of Andover, MA, a grandniece Ann Hamel Canavan and her husband Michael Canavan of VT, grandnephews: John Hamel, Jr. and his wife Cristina of CT, Andrew Hamel and his wife Sandy of ME, and Dennis Hamel, D.C. of Andover. Mrs. Juges was predeceased by her two beloved sisters, Monica S. Endelos and Anne M. Sweet. The family would like to thank the staff at Wingate for their special care and kindness.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no calling hours. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Augustine's Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, MA. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Saint Augustine's School-Centennial Gymnasium Fund, 26 Central Street, Andover, MA, or to Lazarus House in Lawrence, MA.
