David "Vernon" Harbison, Sr., 85, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Stone Creek Lodge. He was a retired pipefitter with Local # 502, a member of the Kentuckiana Woodcrafters and Shively Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jeanetta Lindsey Harbison; his daughter, Karen R. Brewerer (Jim) and son David V. Harbison Jr. (Sondra); three brothers, James, Joe and Robert Harbison; two grandchildren, Jessica Shickles (Jeff) and Patrick Harbison (Natalie); three great-grandchildren. His funeral will be 10 am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Friday. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospraus of Louisville.
