Phyllis I. Richardson, 85, of Londonderry, NH died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 17, 1928 in Lynn, MA where she lived until 2006 when she moved to Londonderry. She was the daughter of the late Ervin S. and Elsie (Jeffers) White. She graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1946. She worked as a secretary at the GE Riverworks plant and later became a pre-school/kindergarten teacher in Lynn.
Before becoming ill, she was an avid quilter, and even displayed her quilts at the Topsfield Fair, but her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest and everyone who knew her, commented on her fun-loving personality.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Theodore Richardson with whom she shared over 65 years of marriage; her daughter Irene Triffitt and her husband, Dana, of Georgetown, MA; her two grandchildren, Ryan Triffitt and his wife Danielle, of Topsham, ME and Meghan Ball and her husband, Christopher, of Hoboken, NJ. She also leaves two great grandchildren and her sister, Elsie Wardell. She was also the sister of the late Ervin S. White and Charles I. White.
A Calling hour was held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 10 – 11 am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A memorial service held at 11:00am in the funeral home.
