Dorothy Frances (Barnicle) Mahoney, 104, of Natick, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick.
She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred I. Mahoney.
Born in Natick and a resident for over 70 years she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Hall) Barnicle.
Mrs. Mahoney was a Registered Nurse for 45 years retiring in 1975.
She received her Nursing Degree from the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth in 1929.
Mrs. Mahoney attended the Natick School system and was a graduate of Natick High School class of 1927.
Dot was known as a “Nurses Nurse” and was totally dedicated to her patients, their families and her profession.
She enjoyed travel with her late husband and after retirement lived in South Yarmouth and later moved to Farm Pond in Framingham.
She is survived by her two very caring nieces Frances Sullivan of Natick and Katherine Ann Triano of New Jersey.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 22th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Patrick’s Church.
Visitation in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 A.M. prior to the Mass.
Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
