Doreen C. (Cullen) (Nota) Holt, lovingly known as Doe, age 65, of Brockton died April 13, 2014 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Laura (Andrian) Cullen. Doreen had been employed at the Italian Kitchen Restaurant for over 30 years. She was a gentle but “tell it like it is” woman who had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family and at Foxwoods; playing Keno, Bingo, and Scrabble.
Doreen is survived by her three children Paul Nota, Jr. and his wife Tammie, Lisa Maria Nota and Erik R. Holt all of Brockton; seven grandchildren; three sisters Joanne Douglas of Brockton, Denise Vieira and her husband Danny of Taunton, Mary Lenoci and her husband Robert of Brockton and a brother Joseph Cullen and his wife Carolyn of Virginia. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Cullen Jr., Maureen Tosches, Lorraine, John, Dennis and Edward Cullen and former wife of Paul Nota Sr. and Bertil Holt.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton on Monday April 28, at 11:30am burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Doreen’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
