Obituary

Joseph A. Crowley, 91 of Natick, died Monday April 14, 2014 at the Eliot Health Care Center in Natick.
He was the husband of the late Katy (Heckendorn) Crowley who died in 2013, and former husband of the late Marion M. (Lewis) Crowley who died in 1977.
A lifelong resident of Natick he was the son of the late Joseph and Teresa (Greenslade) Crowley.
Mr. Crowley was a Natick Firefighter for 27 years and retired with the rank of Fire Captain in August of 1985.
He previously was employed at General Motors in Framingham.
Mr. Crowley was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and was stationed in England during much of World War II.
He attended the Natick School system graduating from Natick High School class of 1942.
Joe loved his family and friends and was never happier than when everyone was there for 4th of July cookout after the Natick Parade. He also loved all things Irish, epic one-liners, trips to Foxwoods with the late Paul Curly, Cape Cod vacations, visits to Wingarsheek Beach with grand kids, his dogs and cats, Disneyworld, breakfast downtown with the guys, an afternoon cookie each day washed down with a Bud Light.

He is survived by two daughters, Maryann Ngoon and her husband Kenneth of Hudson NH, Susan E. Lewis of Natick, one son Joseph F. Crowley of Milford, stepchildren Laura (Mahoney) Buckley and her husband Paul of Malden, Tom Mahoney of Abington, James Mahoney of NYC, 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Kara Amy, John Paul, Meghan, Nick, Ben, Emily, Joe Sean, Jada, great-grandson Eli and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his service of Remembrance on Friday April 18th at 11:00 A.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Streets at Natick Common.
Burial with Military Honors will follow in Dell Park Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
