Obituary

Abington – Joseph “Frank” Ouillette 84, passed away quietly in his sleep on Sunday April 13.

Frank was a master carpenter by trade and had been a plumber/pipefitter in the Naval Shipyards. He was also a hairdresser having once owned and operated his own beauty salon in Virginia.

He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving from 1948-1952, during which time he had served as a dental technician for the Navy. He was a life member of the VFW Post 697 and the American Legion Post 22 both of Whitman.

He loved to sing and play guitar and had once performed, along with his wife Ruby, on a talent show on TV.

He leaves behind his daughter Faye Silvia and her husband Warren of Bourne, two stepsons Rick Donovan and his wife Terri of Whitman and Bob Donovan and his wife Jacqueline of Manomet and his stepdaughter Bev Garrity and her husband Bill of Bunnell, FL. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren (a set of twins on the way) and many nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of friends and acquaintances. He was predeceased by his parents Marie & Ernie LaMarine, his brothers Norman and Raymond, his sisters Theresa, Florence and Stella, his wives Ruby and Judy and his daughter Patricia Dianne.

His funeral service will be held Friday April 25 at 10 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow at 12:45 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be held Thursday April 24 from 4-7 PM.
