Paul William Reed, age 81, of Kingston, died on Thursday, April 10, 2014, following a brief illness.
He was born on November 4, 1932, to the late Josephine (Fitzpatrick) and Percival Reed. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a proud graduate of Stonehill College ('60) and Suffolk University ('86). He was the former CFO for Sullivan Tire Company. Paul was a member of the Kingston Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club. Being an old duffer, he spent as much time as he could on the links.
Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Morgan Reed; his children, James Brodie and wife Laura of Manhasset, NY; Marion Reed of Plymouth, MA; Michael Reed and wife Susan of Goffstown, NH; AnneMarie Reed of Veazie, ME; Paul Reed and wife Janet of Weare, NH; Dorothy and husband Bob Pearson of Plymouth, MA; Elizabeth and husband Joe Lagambina of Halifax, MA; Lawrence Reed and wife Marylou of Marlboro, MA and James Reed and wife Kelly of Kingston, MA. Paul adored his 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He had two brothers, Frank and wife Ruth (deceased); John (deceased) and wife Rita (Deceased) and one sister, Marion (deceased) and husband Robert Adams.
There will be no visiting hours.
A memorial funeral Mass for Paul will be held at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 10:30 AM.
Interment services will be private.
