Obituary

David G. Shaw, age 70, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Friday April 11, 2014. David is survived by his wife, Sandra (Smith) Shaw, his son, Scott of Weymouth, his sister, Carol Shaw of Weymouth, his faithful dog Caleb and several nieces, nephews, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews both in the United States and England.
David was born in Weymouth and lived 25 years in Hanover before moving back to Weymouth in 2000.
Dave was a pipefitter for 51 years and was awarded his gold watch in 2013 for 50 years of service in the Pipefitters Local 537. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He coached Youth Hockey in Hanover during the late 70’s through the late 80’s, was a member of the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club and a member of the Silver Lake Auto Club for many years with his favorite car, his 1960 red Corvette.
A memorial Service will be held at the Holy Nativity Church, 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth on Saturday April 26 at 10 AM.
