Anthony LaRosa died peacefully after a brief illness. He was 96.

Mr. LaRosa was born in Boston, the son of the late Cologero and Caterina (Piazza) LaRosa.
He lived in Saugus for many years and had previously lived in the North End, West End and Stoneham. He was a fisherman throughout his working life. Before his retirement he worked with Globe Fish Co. He was devoted to his family and was especially fond of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The beloved husband of the late Ann (Balharry), he was a devoted father to Charles LaRosa and his wife Jean of Revere, Diane LaRosa of Atlanta, GA, Camille DeLuca and her husband Joseph of Peabody and the late Catherine LoGuidice. He was a loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren and the late AnnMarie LoGuidice and a loving great grandfather to 23. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday April 16th at 11 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem Street, Lynnfield, at Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
