Obituary

Peggy D. Robinson, of Plymouth MA; formerly of Simsbury CT; died at her home on April 8th at the age of 93. The beloved wife of the late Wyley G. Robinson Jr, she is survived by her sons Wyley G. Robinson III and his wife Suellen of Andover MA and Davie G. Robinson and his wife Judi of Lexington MA. She also leaves 5 grandchildren: Keith, Jocelyn, Carl, Rachel, and Cynthia Robinson, and two great grandchildren.
Born in Cleveland Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frederick G. Davie and Laura Galvin Davie. A graduate of Hartford High School, Connecticut Teacher's College and Yale University, she lived 27 years in Simsbury, teaching in the town’s elementary schools. She retired in 1982 to Plymouth where she lived 32 years.
An avid bridge player, she played duplicate and contract bridge regularly. She loved the New York Times crossword puzzle, and followed current events and politics; always ready for a passionate debate. With her husband, Wyley, she built and renovated 5 houses, and while in Plymouth, she worked as a realtor. She was inseparable from her dogs, especially her poodle, Spenser.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 11 AM at the Church of the Pilgrimage in Plymouth. A private burial was held at the National Cemetery in Bourne. Arrangements made by the Richard Davis Funeral Homes of Plymouth and Manomet. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E, 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128-6804 or at aspca.org.
