Richard William Crutcher
"Bill"
Born April 6, 1955 to Lawrence and Elvira Crutcher. Bill passed away April 7,2014 after a brief battle with cancer.
Being one of five active boys, Bill's passion for the ocean and outdoors started early. Fishing was, by far, his favorite past-time along with BBQing. He not only shared his passions with his friends, he passed them along to his family.
The past 11 years Bill enjoyed working for the Hueneme School District, at Parkview Elem. he loved working with the students and staff alike. Previously, he worked for the City of Oxnard for 18 years.
Over the years, Bill made many friends, all of whom the family would like to thank for the generosity, compassion and kindness during this difficult time.
Bill was passionate about his family and will be truly missed by them. Especially missed by his wife and best friend of 21 years, Cheryl. Bill is survived by his mother Elvira Crutcher; children Donnie and wife Kari Crutcher, Lindsay and husband Scott Flurry, Rebecca Crutcher, Melissa Crutcher, Stacey Lopez and Amber Chaparro. Along with 11 grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence and brothers Donald and Lawrence III Crutcher.
Service will be held Tues April 15 at 3p at Joseph P Reardon Funeral Home, Ventura, CA. Reception to follow.
