Murphy, Leo James 78,of Plymouth, died unexpectedly in Milton on April 7. Husband of the late Dorothy (Cherry) Murphy. Father of Edward and his wife Kathleen of Plymouth, Michael and his wife Kristen of Milton, Leo and his wife Erin of Plymouth, Christine Murphy and Steven Drew of Marshfield, Stephen and his wife Jennifer of Plymouth and Joseph and his wife Christina of Kingston. Loving grandfather of Matt, Jack, Cullen, Miranda, Matthew, Andrew, Jonathan, Ryan, and Colin. He leaves two brothers William and Francis and a sister Patricia. He also leaves several nieces and nephews
Leo was born in Boston the son of Edward and Mary (Walsh) Murphy he grew up in Boston and attended Boston Schools He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany following WWII. Leo worked as a truck driver for Burke Distributors.
Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday April 10, at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road (Rte 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Parish on Friday April 11 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree, MA
