GLORIA L. GILLERAN
July 11, 1927 -- April 3, 2014

ANDOVER, MA. -- Gloria L. Gilleran, 86, a resident of Andover, Massachusetts, for 45 years was called up to heaven on Thursday morning, April 3, 2014, after a long courageous battle with Lymphoma.
She was the beloved husband of Robert E. Gilleran with whom she shared 52 loving years.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was one of two children of the late Joseph and Louise (Fisher) Izzi. The family moved shortly thereafter to East Greenwich, Rhode Island, where she was raised. She was employed as a secretary at Quonset Point Naval Air Station where she met her future husband. They moved to Orlando, Florida, in 1961 and were residents there until moving to Andover, Massachusetts, in 1969.
She and Bob enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several couple’s bridge groups. She also enjoyed vacationing in Puerto Rico and Las Vegas.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son; Timothy Hagerty and his wife Kathryn of Pepperell, MA, a daughter; Glenda L. Gilleran of Haverhill, MA, Sisters in law; Madeline Campbell of Esmond, R.I., Loretta Hughes of Cranston, R.I. and Rita Dragon of Stillwater, R.I., Brother in law; Joseph Gilleran of Esmond, R.I., and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Per Gloria’s request, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Road in Andover, MA. Interment will be private. Donations in Gloria's memory may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830.
