FALL RIVER — Vivian B. Gomes, age 80, of Westport, died Friday, April 4, 2014 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Harwood Gomes.
A life long area resident, she was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late John and Alice (Vardo) Bento.
An avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed reading, crossÂword puzzles and contact with many on Facebook. She loved her family and was a kind and generous person.
She is survived by her daughter Irene Lima and her husband Scott, her son Harwood, and her brothers John Bento and his wife Diane, and Ken Rapoza. Her late step-daughter was Linda Carter.
It is suggested remembrances be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
