Obituary

Ernest E. “Red” Guilbault, 88, of Mendon Rd., formerly of Providence St. Woonsocket died Thursday morning at the Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Pauline M. (Deslauries) Guilbault
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Stanislaus and Marie Anna (Allard) Guilbault. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
In his earlier years Red was employed at Brisbane Fabrics and Slatersville Finishing Company. He went on the work as a custodian for the Woonsocket School Dept. for over 25 years before retiring.
Red was an avid CB radio operator and was known by his handle “K1PRY”.
Red is survived by three sons Roger Guilbault and his wife Mary Anne, Donald Guilbault and his wife Susan, and David Guilbault all of Woonsocket, two daughters Jacqueline Belisle and her husband Edward of Dexter, Maine and Margaret A. Bell and her husband Dennis of Woonsocket. He was the father of the late Normand Guilbault and brother of the late Eugene Guilbault. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and one nephew.
His funeral will be Monday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-7 pm.
