TEWKSBURY: Eva M. (Pignone) Glassman, age 98, a former longtime Billerica resident, recently of Tewksbury, passed away at the Blaire House Assisted Living, with her family by her side on Saturday, March 29, 2014.
She was the beloved wife of Julius M. Glassman, who passed away on December 30, 1977.
Born in Boston on January 1, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Pignone and the late Maria Elisabeth (Bodaro) Pignone.
Eva was raised in Medford, attended Medford schools and graduated from Medford High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant by the Hewlett-Packard Company and the Digital Equipment Company.
Eva's passions were her family, cooking, knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by two children, Elisa B. King of Tewksbury and Peter Glassman and his wife Barbara of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, David and Michael Glassman, Tracy Gracia, Robin Pelletier, John and Paul King, Joseph and Gregory Glassman; fifteen much loved great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Eva was the mother of the late Joseph Glassman, grandmother of the late Callista King and Deborah Glassman, and sister of the late Joseph, Peter, Edmund, Frank and Stanley Pignone.
At the request of the family, services will be held privately. Entombment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Donatons in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005
