In Attleboro, April 2, 2014 Ruth V. Stafford, Age 95 passed away in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. Ruth was the loving wife of the late James J. Stafford Sr. She was born in Attleboro, the daughter of the late Thomas & Mary Ann (Kennedy) Holt. Ruth attended Attleboro schools. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, her home in Brewster on Cape Cod and above all cherished her time with family. Ruth is survived by her son James J. Stafford and his wife Barbara of S.C and her daughter Janice LaLiberte and her husband William of Taunton. She leaves her brother James Holt of the Keys, FL and and was preceded in death by her other five siblings; Herbert Holt, Thomas Holt, Irene Dumican, Mary Milligan and Pamela Lutz. Ruth also leaves her loving grandchildren Trooper Chad W. LaLiberte of Taunton, Lori Doherty and her husband Dr. Mark Doherty of Taunton, Devon King of Providence, RI and Whitney Stafford Finucane of Providence, RI and her six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, Staples St. in East Taunton on Monday, April 7th at 10 am. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
