Obituary

Stephen "The B" Buchanan, of Manomet formerly of Roslindale, died at home on April 2nd at the age of 54. He is survived by his son Stephen W. Buchanan of Asheville, NC and close friend Katie Earle of Manomet. He also leaves his brothers and sisters: Judy McAndrew and her Husband Richard of Plymouth, Michael Buchanan of Kingston, John Buchanan of Manomet, Mark Buchanan of Roslindale and Joan Buchanan of Salt Lake City, UT; many nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.
Stephen, or "The B" as he was known to his friends, was born in Boston; son of the late Paul W. and Virginia (Fagen) Buchanan. He graduated from Plymouth-Carver High School in 1976 and had lived in Roslindale before moving to Plymouth. Stephen was a carpenter for Local 40 and was a member of the John Alden Sportsman’s Club and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed golf, playing pool and darts, an avid sports page follower and a devoted Bruins fan. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 11th at the Moose Lodge, 601 State Rd (Rt 3A), Manomet from 7 to 11 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements made by the Richard Davis Funeral Homes of Plymouth and Manomet. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the charity of one’s choice.
