Obituary

Joseph S. Micciche, Sr., age 75 of Brockton, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center following a period of failing health. He was the loving husband for 52 years of Elizabeth M. (Fuce) Micciche. Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Philip and Mary (Sulfaro) Micciche. Joe was a graduate of South Boston High School and had been employed as a Letter Carrier in the Brockton Post Office for over 25 years, and retired from Rockland in 2001. He was an Army Reservist; enjoyed time with his family; and watching New England sports teams, especially the Patriots.

In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by three sons, Joseph Jr. and his wife Paula of Raynham, Michael of South Weymouth and Mark and his wife Lenore of Taunton; four grandchildren Zachary, Dylan, Jacob, and Margaret “Maggie”; his twin brother Nunzio “Nunny” of Rockland and sister Stella Albison of Carver. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and was the brother of the late James Wade.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9am for a funeral mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 10am. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
