Obituary

Norman F. Felker, Jr., 58, of Medway, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at his home after a courageous six year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Pamella J. (Thompson) Felker since 1982.

Born in Haverhill on July 6, 1955, he was the son of the late Norman F. and Norma (Auclair) Felker.

Norm was a resident of Medway for the past 28 years. He graduated from Haverhill High School and Northern Essex Community College where he earned his Registered Radiology Technologist license. He also attended Northeastern University.

Norm worked at the Faulkner Hospital in West Roxbury for his entire working life in the Radiology Department in many capacities.

Norm loved history and volunteered through the Historical Commission at the Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway. He enjoyed working in his yard and liked to fish and to attend the tractor pulls in Medway.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Brendan Felker and his wife Ashley of Medway and Justin Felker of Medway and a granddaughter Maddison Felker.

He is also survived by a sister, Judy Duchemin and her husband Albert of Haverhill and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway on Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norm’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
