Donna L. Gonsalves, age 61, of Fall River passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Richard Gonsalves of 42 years and daughter of Dorothy (Raposa) Ferreira and the late Leonard Ferreira. She graduated Sacred Heart Academy in 1971, enjoyed family trips to Florida, gardening, dining out and spending time with the family, especially her grandchildren. Formerly employed at Almacs Supermarket and most recently employed by SSTAR as inpatient secretary/receptionist.
Donna was the loving mother of Todd Gonsalves of MD, Chad Gonsalves and wife Renee of Swansea and Joceyln Tondreault and husband Matthew of NH; sister of Barbara Richards of Fall River; sister-in-law of Raymond and Joanne Pacheco of Dighton; grandmother of Ethan and Cayden Gonsalves and Mason Tondreault. She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church at 10 A.M.
