Anthony Abraham, 67 of Derry, NH and formerly of Salem, NH and Lawrence passed away March 24, 2014 at the Concord Hospital. Anthony was born on July 24, 1946 in Lawrence to the late Michael and Lydia (Hajjar) Abraham. He was raised in Lawrence and attended St. Mary’s Grammer School. Mr. Abraham graduated from Lawrence High School. Following high school, Mr. Abraham proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the United Lebanese Society, the Knights of Columbus, Gaythorne Hall Post 4027 Methuen and the American Legion, “Ernest Young” Post 63 Salem, NH. Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and making people smile. He will be remembered for his extreme generosity.
Anthony is survived by his two children, Steven Abraham of Salem, NH and Leah Abraham of Salem, NH, three brothers, Joseph Abraham and his wife Linda of Bradford, John Abraham and his wife Maureen of Methuen and Phillip Abraham of Methuen, two grandchildren James and Joseph Gibney and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime friend and companion, Marylou Dickey. Anthony is predeceased by his son Matthew Abraham.
Friends and relatives may call on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 31, 2014 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA with burial to follow in the St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Methuen. Prior to the funeral service Monday morning, friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home at 9:10 AM, as Anthony’s family will celebrate his life with a eulogy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony’s memory may be made to St. Anthony’s Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA 01841. The Pollard Funeral Home is honored to serve the Abraham Family.
