Obituary

WORCESTER: Thomas R. “Ray” Kilcoyne, 90, a resident of Tatnuck Park, 340 May St, formerly of East Kendall St., died in his home on Monday, March 24, 2014, after a period of declining health.
He leaves his sister, Theresa Slaney of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. His brother, John F. Kilcoyne and another sister, Mary W. Roughan, both predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Michael F. and Margaret (McNamara) Kilcoyne. He graduated from North High School in 1940 and graduated from Becker Junior College in 1949 with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. He enlisted in the Navy and was a Veteran of World War II.
Ray worked as a machinist at Heald Machine Company, Norton Company and at Warner & Swasey Company for a combined 31 years until he retired in 1986. He was a member of Our Lady of Providence Parish and had been an active member of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church. He was an avid fisherman and made a significant impact on the lives of his family.

A CALLING HOUR will be held from 9:15 to 10: 15 A.M. on SATURDAY, MARCH 29 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln Street, followed by a FUNERAL MASS at 11 A.M. at OUR LADY OF PROVIDENCE PARISH, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
