Manuel D. Camara, age 73 of Fall River, passed away March 23, 2014. Born in Capélas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of the late Maria Da Gloria (Medeiros) Camara and the son of the late Jose and Maria Isabel (Costa) Da Camara. Prior to retiring, Manuel worked for Venus de Milo Restaurant as a dishwasher and previously for Santoro Mfg. as a sweeper. He was also a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
He is survived by a sister: Maria Conçeicão Dias of Fall River; 4 sister in laws: Maria Eduarda Barbosa and Natalia Arruda both of Fall River, Lucia Moniz of CT and Maria Conçeicão Camara of São Miguel, Açores; many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jose Da Costa Camara and Agostinho DaCosta Camara.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on FRIDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours THURSDAY 6-9 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
