Frances (Frannie) Swan Churchill, of Duxbury, passed away peacefully at her home, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.
She was the wife of the late Chester L. Churchill and the mother of Jane Wildes Jeter and John Frederick Wildes, both of whom predeceased her.
She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire to Frederick Mott Swan and Margarette Elizabeth (Emery) Swan. She grew up in Wellesley and moved to Duxbury in the early 1950’s, where she lived for over 50 years in the Captain’s Hill neighborhood, which she greatly loved and where she was a very active participant in all neighborhood activities. She had a long career in real estate in Duxbury, working with her partner, Joanne Patterson. She took much pleasure in helping many people buy a home in town and stayed friendly with her former clients through the years. Known for her out-going personality and sense of fun, Frannie was an active and long-time member of Pilgrim Church and the Duxbury Yacht Club.
Interment services will be private.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Pilgrim Church, 404 Washington Street, Duxbury, on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:30 AM.
