August, GA – Mrs. Zerola Long, 79, went home to be with the Lord on March 19th, 2014.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church Chapel with Reverend Greg Hatfield and Reverend Roy McVeigh officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery.
Zerola was born in Augusta, Georgia. After marrying the love of her life she traveled the world as a military wife. After rearing four children she started her career as a educator. She was a avid sports fan; her favorite team being the Atlanta Braves. She was a member of the Mothers Club, Green Jackets Club, and a championship bowler. Zerola touched many lifes and will be missed by all who knew her.
Zerola was preceded in death by her husband Clarence E. Long, Sr. She is survived by her children Clarence E. Long, Jr (Glenda); Russell Andrew Long, Donna Elaine Long; Donald E. Long (Tracie) and Justin Eugene Long (Katie); her brother Tim Johnson (Diane); and her grandchildren Kathryn Anna Genter (JT) and Devin T. Long.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Doctors and Staff of Eisenhower Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the funeral home from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
