Henry Wright Bailey, Jr., 61, went to his Redeemer on March 18, 2014, at his home in Blythe, Georgia. The son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Henry W. Bailey, he is survived by his sister, Grace Bailey Heck (Mrs. Jeffrey James Heck), of Augusta. He is also survived by his niece, Eva Burneko Medin, (Mrs. Christer Jan Medin), and their children, Nora Grace and Milo Patrik of Sweden.

Born at Fort Rucker, Alabama, he grew up in Augusta. An Eagle Scout, Henry was elected to The Order of the Arrow and was graduated from Richmond Academy, where he lettered in track and field and served as manager of the football team. He served in the U.S. Army R.O.T.C. for two years. He received three degrees: Bachelor of Science from The University of Georgia, Master of Business Administration from Augusta College, attending through the Drawdy Scholarship, and Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The University of South Carolina.

Henry enlisted in the Armed Forces of the United States of America and earned a diploma in the North Vietnamese language from the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, California. Henry was a research associate at the University of Arizona, and he enjoyed work as a computer instructor and salesman. He took pride in having traveled most of the United States and in using his personal computing and calculating skills in volunteer work.

Henry worshipped God at Augusta First Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Dr. Earl Richards performed his graveside service at Westover Memorial Park, March 20.

The family wishes to thank all his caregivers at Savannah Square Personal Care Home and his Veterans Administration physicians and social workers.
