NATICK: Brian Hugh O’Reilly, age 53, a lifelong Natick resident, died after a brief illness on Sunday morning, March 16, 2014, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick. He was the devoted husband of Debra L. (Shagoury) O’Reilly.
Born in Natick on July 30, 1960, he was a son of Hugh and Patricia (Heary) O’Reilly. Brian was a 1978 graduate of Natick High School and had worked with his Dad at Hugh O’Reilly’s Brake and Truck Parts in Framingham for several years. For over the past thirty years, he has been an integral part of the sales staff at NAPA Auto Parts - Towne Auto Parts on Route 9 in Natick.
Brian was an outgoing and caring man, often taking other’s needs to heart and putting them before his own. His ready smile could brighten any room and his sense of humor and quick wit shone through in any situation. Brian had his own style, was a very loyal friend, and adored his family. He had told his daughter more than once that his obituary would only need to say: “Born in Natick, died in Natick.” Natick will miss him.
He is survived by Debra; their daughter, Susan L. O’Reilly, NHS Class of 2015; his parents, Hugh and Patricia, currently of Framingham; four sisters, Ann O’Reilly of Cumberland, RI, Denise O’Reilly of Lynn, Deirdre O’Reilly-Heaton and her husband Paul of Webster, and Dawn Riley of Monson; his brother, David O’Reilly of Framingham; a sister-in-law, Pamela Ryan and her husband Kevin of Medway; a brother-in-law, Robert Shagoury, also of Medway; and many loving nieces, nephews, and grandnieces.
His funeral will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Saturday, March 22nd at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow at Dell Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday 4 – 7p.m.
