Family and friends are deeply sadden by the loss of Richard Victor Marut, aged 53 years, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who passed away unexpectedly March 10, 2014.
Richard was a native of New Jersey but, adopted Texas as his home state more than 16 years ago.
Richard, the eldest son of Kenneth & Pat Marut of Manahawkin, N.J. is survived by his wife, Pamela Marut of Fayette County, Texas, by his mother, Pat Marut , his brother, Ken Marut, his three sisters, Lori Nolan (brother-in-law, Chuck Nolan), Susan Ammirata (brother-in-law, Mike Ammirata), and Patti-Ann Borger (brother-in-law, Joe Borger) all from New Jersey with numerous numerous nephews, nieces and cousins and his beloved dog, Otis. Richard's father and best friend, Ken Marut, preceded him in death in 2005.
Richard was an SAP Workflow Analyst for over 20 years, throughout his life he loved to travel, work with his hands, hanging outside, mountain biking, playing golf, the beach, talking with friends and the Houston Texans. He never met a stranger and was always willing to participate in whatever activities came his way. He would lend a helping hand to friends and strangers alike.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home, 967 E. Colorado, La Grange, Texas 78945. In lieu of flowers please make donations to:
