LILLIAN FAIR COLFORD of Yarmouth, MA, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, just 2 months short of her 100th birthday.
She was born in South Natick, the first child of Alice Hall and William Fair. She and her husband, Charles D. Colford, raised their family in Natick, and after his death in 1980, Lillian moved to Cape Cod where she pursued her interest in antiques, becoming a well-known and respected antiques dealer.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, James Fair, and sisters, Virginia Walsh Kawana and Jeanne McGrail. Lillian is survived by her children, Carol and her husband, Ed McGuire, of Yarmouth, and Barbara and her husband, Charles Drew, of Falmouth, ME; her grandchildren, Josh McGuire, Anne McGuire, Jennifer Drew Bucklin (Patrick), Sarah Drew Engle (Scott) and Chad Drew (Kristin); her great-grandchildren, Will, Katie, Zak, Adam, Cole, Charlie and Daniella; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lillian will be especially remembered for her humor, her positive attitude and for the unwavering support she constantly provided to her family, to her friends, and to the Boston Red Sox! Lillian’s family will always be grateful for the wonderful care she received over the last 8 months at Brookside Assisted Living and Cape Regency Nursing Home in Centerville, and for the hospice and palliative care provided by Hope Health, and would respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory be made to Hope Health, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
Visiting hours will be from 9:00a.m. -10:30a.m. on Friday, March 14th at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick, and interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
