GRAFTON – Mrs. Mary (Scola) Conti, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 2nd at the Parsons Hill Nursing Home in Worcester.

Mary is survived by her son, Charles Conti , her two brothers, Albert J. Scola and his wife Jane of Worcester, and Dr. Daniel A. Scola and his wife Theresa of Glastonbury, Connecticut; two sisters, Virginia M. Palazzi of Strafford, CT., and Dolores Simulevich of Shrewsbury, MA.

She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Donna Conti, her son, James Conti Jr. and her siblings, Rose T. Pezzella, Ralph Scola and her twin, Anna M. Ozioli.

Born November 6, 1921 in Worcester, Mary was a daughter of the late Nunziato M. and Angelina (Morello) Scola. She was the wife to the late James J. Conti.

A lifelong resident of the Worcester area, Mary worked for many years at City Hospital in the X-ray department until her retirement in 1986. She was a parishioner of St Mary’s Church in Grafton. Mary was an expert seamstress, and great cook. She was a member of the Sons of Italy, and Beatangelo Society both of Worcester.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday March 6th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St in Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00am at St Mary’s Church in No. Grafton. Interment will be in St John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday March 5th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
