George T. Simon of Winthrop passed away on February 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.
George was the dear and devoted husband of the late Mary (McDonough). Loving father of Robert Simon Asmar and his wife Kathy of Scituate and the late Michael G. Simon. Cherished grandfather “Gidoo” of Jeffrey and Christopher. Dear brother of Henry Asmar of West Roxbury and the late Helen Simon. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
George's Funeral Mass was celebrated March 4, 2014 at Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church.

George was a proud US Navy Veteran of WWII and a proud member the N.G. Beram Veterans Assoc.
George was laid to rest at Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
