Salem NH- Elsie Fitzgerald 87, passed peacefully at Holy Family Hospital on February 19, with loving family by her side after a lengthy illness. She was born on April 7, 1926 in Methuen and remained a resident of the Merrimack Valley until her move to Greystone Farms in Salem, NH.
Mrs Fitzgerald was employed at Western Electric for more than 25 years and enjoyed 32 years of retirement. She enjoyed life and will be remembered for her sense of humor and her generosity to others in need. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, loved to shop and play bingo. She will be missed by many.
She was the widow of Gerald F Fitzgerald Sr. and is survived by sons
Gerald Fitzgerald and his wife Jeanne of Lawrence, Dennis Fitzgerald and his wife Karen of Derry, NH, a daughter Kathleen Fitzgerald of Methuen, sister
Irene Bonacorsi of West Palm Beach, Florida and several grandchildren and great grandchildren along with her extended family at Greystone Farms.
Funeral Services will be held at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home in Methuen. At the request of the family services will remain private.
