John F. Willis, 61, of Salem NH, passed away Thursday February 20th at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Methuen son of the late David and Clara (Castle) Willis. John was a graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen and worked at General Mills in Methuen for 32 years prior to retiring. He was a member of the American Legion post 66 in Green Valley AZ, had a love for music, was a history buff, he also enjoyed traveling, golfing, spending time in Arizona for the past 10 years, socializing with friends at the Fireside Restaurant in Methuen, but most of all John was always good for a laugh.
John is survived by his wife Barbara (Ivester) Willis of Salem NH, daughters Melanie Correia of Haverhill, Vanessa France and her husband Matthew of Westminster, step daughters Heather Moran and her husband John of Salem NH, Brianna Cole of Salem NH, Jobeana Perisa and her husband James of Garden City NY, grandchildren Gianna, Jackson, Brady, Dylan, Shea, Ashton, Abigail, Maddie, Olivia, Maeve, Cameron, brothers David Willis and his wife Mary, Steve Willis, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday February 28th from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will take place Saturday March 1st at 11 AM at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
