Jean M. Marathas (Aberts) age 57 passed away February 7th after a brief illness. Born in Norwood, she was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School. She has lived in Brockton for the last 10 years. She had a 20 year career in the pet industry which fostered her love of animals, which she had since childhood. She especially loved her two dogs, Buster and Samantha. Most recently, she worked at the corporate headquarters for The Casual Male. She was the loving mother of James L. Marathas of Brockton. Devoted daughter of John Aberts of Stoughton and the Late Doris Aberts . Beloved sister of Judith Corrigan of Stoughton and Sandra Zaniboni of Canton. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Saturday February 15th at 12 noon. Visiting hours prior to the service Saturday from 10 to 12. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105
